The first thing is to check the physical connection of the plates.
ReplyDeleteMake sure they are properly connected to the computer.
2. is to ensure that you can use the 2-disk drives in the BIOS configuration or boot screen, the automatic detection of the 2 hard drives.
If you have already successfully completed and Probe 2 detects the hard drive allows the verification of software.
Based on the information you, I think the HDD 40 GB and 80 GB primary, the secondary drive.
After installing XP, it is normal that only the 40 GB hard drive, since We installed the system software. 80GB hard drive is not configured yet can not be seen.
Now follow these instructions:
1. Go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management
2. Storage -> Disk Management. You should now be the list of available drives in the right column. So we have to see
Disc 1: 40 GB
Disc 2: 80-GB hard drive.
If you do not see the 80 GBDiscs, the system will not recognize the hard drive. Please check the connection again.
3. Assuming you can see both drives and let you go on.
4. Click on the hard drive of 80 GB and should be Shadow.
5. Click on it and a pop-up menu and select Create Partition and follow the formatting of the disk. Once upon a time, should be able, 80 GB hard drive access.
Hope above information is helpful.
A unit should be filled out to dominate the second is to be filled for the slaves.
ReplyDeleteRemove the system disk, boot into Windows, stop and insert the CD again and then return to Windows and should be automatically detected
ReplyDeleteHave you checked to see the jumpers on the drive, who is set to cable select or slave. If not, then you may need to format the hard drive so your system may be seen.
ReplyDeleteGo to your Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Mgmnt comp. In mgt comp, go to the storage disk and MGT. Once there, it should be some color bar next to the drive, right click on RT and then click Create active partition. If you can not, then U need to format the hard drive. Note that you format the disk, you lose nothing in the record.

Not sure what you mean by 2 windows, but the first thing you want is to examine whether the BIOS recognizes the drive. Otherwise, the operating system is not. If so, I would be a hardware detection when it fails, then there is a problem or a cable or a driver problem, but given the size of the unit is called into question.
